Welcome to Reading Planet, a whole-school reading scheme for ages 3-11. We work alongside experts, authors and partner schools to create reading books and teaching materials that children will truly enjoy!
A primary reading programme from the National Literacy Trust and Hachette UK, supported by Reading Planet.
Reading Planet includes almost 600 reading books for ages 3-7. Everything is aligned to the same progression (Letters and Sounds 2007) and levelling. The four exciting strands can be used together or independently:

Comet Street Kids: Action-packed character stories
Galaxy: Curriculum linked fiction and non-fiction
Book packs start at just £47 and you can access everything online via a 1-year subscription to Reading Planet Online Lilac - White.
Reading Planet includes 192 reading books to support learners aged 7-11 in becoming confident and fluent readers:
Cosmos: A vibrant collection of fiction and non-fiction for independent and guided reading.
Astro: High interest/low reading level books for struggling and reluctant readers.
Book packs start at just £84 and you can access everything via the Reading Planet Online Stars - Supernova subscription.
You can access everything via a subscription to Reading Planet Online. Our interactive libraries are accessed via the Boost online learning platform. Every book is available as an interactive eBook with additional features and resources for teachers, pupils and parents. Every subscription includes access to the Reporting Tool, teacher mark-up tools and downloadable teaching guidance. Online subscriptions available:
Lilac - White for age 4-7: 498 eBooks from the Lift-off, Rocket Phonics, Comet Street Kids and Galaxy strands. Includes audio synchronisation for each eBook.
Stars - Supernova for age 7-11: 144 eBooks from the Cosmos and Astro strands. Astro eBooks include audio synchronisation.

Rocket Phonics Training Course: 12 hours of pre-recorded CPD lessons led by Rocket Phonics author Abigail Steel.
The whole approach is making our children more excited and interested in reading which is the best thing you could ask from a reading scheme.
The Reading Planet Rocket Phonics programme has been an absolute life saver.
The children love the books! They’re lovely and inviting. The non-fiction are really engaging. They’re very bright, have fantastic illustrations and the length isn’t overwhelming.
Children are much more engaged with Reading Planet. We are looking to lose the older schemes.
